The reason we picked Story Inn as the Venue is because that is where Ryan took me out to dinner the night he proposed. We were in Indiana for his Grandmothers 100th Birthday. It was my 33rd birthday and one thing Ryan and I have always shared is our love for food. So I wasn't really expecting much more then my taste buds being blown away. Minutes after we were seated he slid a ring box across the table and my heart stopped. I asked him what he was doing because they hadn't even poured the water yet. He lackadaisically said, "This is just a little present because I love you and I want to marry you some day." Um?????? I think I replied, "ok?" Thinking, " Did he just propose? “
Fast-forward to the ride home after dinner. He is still acting like a weirdo. He pulls up to the cabin we are staying at with his family. I notice there are cars parked all around the house but there are no lights on. "Ok, weird??" Then he parks and says, "Go up this way." He looks so nervous it makes me nauseous. I look up and I see candles lighting the path all the way up the staircase. In the distance I hear music. Not just any music. LIVE MUSIC!! The song, "Marry Me". His Aunt Jayne and Uncle Mike were singing, which I later found out. When I reached the top of the Stairs I saw a white table. On it was a vase with two dozen red roses, candles and next to it my future husband on one knee. He spoke the words I will never forget, "Will you make me the happiest man alive and be my wife? Please say yes because my whole family is inside listening!” Of course I said yes... One Million times yes as my eyes filled with happy tears of joy...
At last....My love has come along...
Ryan and I recently rekindled after 10 years of being friends.
It all started back when we went to the same high school and somehow never met. He was in a grade younger and says he had a little crush on me from a distance.
It wasn't until we worked together at Sprint, that we actually met. Still, we didn't date right away. Then one day Ryan decided to come into work cleaned up. He had shaved off his long curly hair and all of a sudden I could see his gorgeous face. Not long after that we began talking and flirting. Shortly after that we were an item. We dated for three years and I can honestly say we had a great relationship. Unfortunately we were young and broke up after a silly fight. As they say, "God works in mysterious ways." We both needed to go on our own separate journeys, which gave us our beautiful children! Now older and wiser with our mini humans we’ve rekindled.
Ryan and I have so much fun being parents. I think it is the thing that is the most attractive quality about one another. We are both God fearing, hard working, hands on, active partners. We have so many similar interest and at the same time ,we have so many things that are so different. I think it is the perfect balance. We both enjoy long walks to the fridge. Pillow fights with our boys.
As a family we are always laughing and smiling. Our boys love each other. Most of the time that is. Hunter is our old soul. Jameson is always happy and loves to copy everything Hunter is doing. They keep us on our toes. We love every second of it. And yes...we want one more! We can't wait to share our special day with you! Thanks for stopping by!
